Sarajevo 1993
This unfinished experimental game I made at TIGJam is my first real effort at a serious "game". I wanted to make this after learning about the siege of Sarajevo in the 1990s and the effect that such a tragic event had upon the populace of a large modern city. To recognize its power and the powerlessness of the civilians of Sarajevo.
In the simulation, you have control of one civilian and, like anyone in the simulation, have a chance of being shot by unseen snipers. That's it. You survive, or you don't. You can move around with arrow keys, enter and exit buildings by pressing the down key, and talk with people by pressing spacebar. There is no animation or sound. If you suddenly stop being able to move, that means you have been shot and killed.
The number below each character is their tension level. The higher the number, the more tense. Those with 0 or -1 have an impossibly positive outlook on life.
NOTE: This is very much WIP. This is what I built TIGJam, and I wanted to post it. Building it I discovered how much more will be needed to finish it, but that will be when I get a break from all my other projects.
